  • How to make an appointment

    Once a referral is received, it is promptly triaged and one of our administrative staff will be in contact with you to arrange an appointment.

    Alternatively, if your General Practitioner has requested that you contact our practice directly, our staff will be more than happy to guide you through the booking process.

    When booking the appointment, please inform us of any language or communication barriers so that further assistance can be rendered.

  • What to bring

    Please bring the following to your appointment:

    • Medicare card as well as details of your private health insurance
    • Concessional card
    • List of medications
    • Relevant investigations and test results
  • Billing policy and payment options

    Please note that full fee payment is expected on the day of appointment. Medicare accounts are lodged online following your consultation and a valid Medicare card is required to access these rebates. We accept payment via cash, EFTPOS and credit card (Mastercard / Visa). Unfortunately, we are unable to accept cheque or AMEX credit card payments.

  • Fee structure

    Our cardiologists

    Our cardiologists are independent practitioners and as such, their fees may vary slightly. Patients will be advised of an approximate cost when booking the appointment. Please feel free to speak to our administrative staff if you would like more details about our fee structure.

    Patients who are unfortunately experiencing financial hardship are encouraged to discuss their circumstances with their referring doctor. Concessional card holders can access discounted rates.

    Please note that private health funds do not cover the cost of outpatient consultations and investigations. Our cardiologists are registered with all major private health fund groups under a ‘No Gap Scheme”. This means that if you have full cover including cardiology services, the cardiologist fees are included. Patients are advised to check with their individual private health fund for further enquiries.

  • Cancellation policy

    There is a strict 24 hour cancellation policy in place for all appointments at Windsor Heart & Specialist Centre. If there are extenuating circumstances resulting in your non-attendance please feel free to discuss your concerns with one of our friendly reception staff. Please be aware that there is a no show fee for non-attendance. This has to be paid in full prior to booking any subsequent appointments.

  • Privacy policy

    Our clinic utilises state of the art technology. We use a cloud based practice management software. Your health information, including consultation notes and results of investigations are safely encrypted and stored on a secured remote server. All investigations done are confidentially stored on our secured sever locally.

  • Clinic to cloud patient portal

    Windsor Heart & Specialist Centre utilises Clinic to Cloud practice management software that has a dedicated patient portal that allows us to better communicate with our patients and engage with them during their clinical journey.

    Advantages of patient portal:

    • Complete patient registration form
    • Upload referral or other supporting documents
    • Check details of upcoming appointments
    • View pathology results and other test results
    • Easy to use system that is accessible anytime, anywhere on your smart phone or computer
