Dr Munawar is a cardiologist with specialty interest of arrhythmia and cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs). She obtained her medical degree from the University of Indonesia, Jakarta, Indonesia, in August 2006. She then undertook her cardiology training from University of Indonesia and National Cardiac Centre Harapan Kita, Jakarta, Indonesia in 2013 and fellowship in interventional Cardiology in Indonesia in 2014.
She undertook her training in Cardiac Electrophysiology and Pacing Fellowship at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in 2015-2018 and was acknowledged as a Fellow of Royal Australasian College of Physician (FRACP) in November 2020.
Andien completed her doctoral thesis on comprehensive understanding of factors affecting clinical outcomes of the CIEDs in order to improve clinical outcomes after CIEDs implantation from The University of Adelaide in September 2020.
Based at the Lyell McEwin Hospital and Windsor Heart and Specialist Centre, she consults both publicly and privately and sees the full spectrum of cardiac diseases. In addition, she is also actively involved in the education of cardiology registrars, junior doctors, as well as medical students.
Andien is also fluent in Indonesian language.
