Dr Thillaiyampalam graduated from the University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka and completed her physician training in University of Colombo Sri Lanka. After completion of Physician training further she further advanced training in adult cardiology including interventional and imaging at the National hospital of Sri Lanka which is one of the largest tertiary hospital in the country. She subsequently migrated to Australia and acquired further qualifications at both the Lyell McEwin Hospital and Royal Adelaide Hospital. She is currently in the process of completing fellowship in Cardiac MRI at the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
